Jadi Communications was recently awarded a marketing and advertising contract with the City of Long Beach. Jadi’s creative team is already leading up a marketing effort to design and develop community-centric graphics, billboards, posters, social media and more for the Midtown Long Beach Beach Streets event.
Midtown Long Beach will hit the streets on Saturday, November 12, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, for the Beach Streets Midtown Open Street event. The 2.5-mile route will include several hubs of activity, with festivals, music, demonstrations, food and more. The event will take place on Anaheim Street from Orange Avenue to Pacific Coast Highway, and will feature thousands of people bicycling, walking and socializing on streets that are car-free for the event.
With funding from Metro, the City of Long Beach will use Beach Streets Midtown to showcase local neighborhoods, businesses, and parks, as well as local transit, health, and recreation options. Known more generally as Open Streets events, these outdoor street festivals are occurring across the world, and are a new and innovative way of pursuing strategies for achieving social, economic, environmental and public health goals.
“We are extremely excited about hosting yet another Beach Streets event,” said Mayor Robert Garcia. “They’re so popular with the community because there is really something for the whole family, whether it’s biking, skating, music, art or just seeing your friends and neighbors out having fun.”
